I’m Gloria, a Nigerian mum of two boys, 14 months apart.

I’ll be honest with you, one of my primary purposes in starting this blog was/is to make money while raising my sons at home.

I’ll be lying though if I say that is the only reason I started Mum’s Invited.

My Story

You see, a few years ago, I had my first baby.

While I had a relatively smooth pregnancy, I wasn’t truly prepared for my fourth trimester ( popularly called the post-partum period).

The thing is though, I thought I was prepared but mehn, I was so wrong!

In the months and years since then, I’ve learnt a whole lot.

From reading, research, personal experience and talking to a couple other (and sometimes older) mums.

These lessons (let’s call it that for now) is what I would like to share with you.

That, is my second purpose.

To share tips that would make your life soooo much easier and fulfilling as you adjust to life as a mum.

I’ve NOT got it all figured out. On the contrary, I’m constantly learning, making mistakes and relearning.

My hope is to be the best mum, wife, woman and human that God wants me to be.

I believe that’s the same for some (if not all of you) who have stumbled on this page.

So, I’m inviting you to join me on this life-searching, life-defining journey. Let’s live out our full potentials together!

A few tidbits about me

As you’ve probably guessed from my use of the word “mum” as opposed to “mom”, I live in the United Kingdom with my very supportive husband and two boys.

I’m a Veterinary Surgeon by profession.

We love dogs but don’t have any pets at the moment.

I’m a Christian. Faith plays a huge role in my life and this will be reflected in my blog posts.

Finally, one very important fact, I don’t like coffee. In fact, I don’t understand what all the fuss about coffee is.

To be fair though, my dislike of coffee might be linked to me trying black coffee as a pre-teen and getting the shock of my life when I discovered how bitter it was! haha!
