Spring-Summer Going Home Outfit For Mom

There are a few things to consider when packing a leaving hospital outfit for mom.

First, you’ll want to make sure you’re comfortable. After all, you just gave birth and you deserve to be comfortable!

Second, if you plan to nurse, you’ll want to ensure your outfit is easy to breastfeed in.

Third, ensure you’re wearing something that makes you feel good.

#1. 2 Piece Lounge Sets

A 2 Piece Lounge Set is a perfect going home outfit for a new mom in Summer. It offers comfort and ease with its soft, stretchy fabric and relaxed fit.

Plus, the matching set looks chic and requires no effort to coordinate. It’s ideal for the postpartum period, providing both comfort and a bit of confidence as you step out with your new baby.

Here are some of my fave pieces:

#2. Romper Jumpsuits

A romper or jumpsuit is a great going-home outfit for a new mom in the summer. It’s one-piece, making it easy to wear and style, and provides comfort with its loose fit.

The lightweight fabric keeps you cool, and the casual style ensures you feel relaxed and stylish as you head home with your new baby.

Check these out:

#3. Shirt Dresses

Shirt dresses are fantastic going home outfits for new moms because they are comfortable, stylish, and easy to wear. They provide a relaxed fit that accommodates postpartum changes and can be easily dressed up or down.

Plus, if you’re breastfeeding, button-down shirt dresses offer easy access. With their versatility and ease, shirt dresses are a perfect choice for feeling comfortable and looking great as you leave the hospital.

Here are some of the coolest styles around:

#4. Smock Summer Dresses

Smock summer dresses are perfect for new moms going home. They’re light, airy, and comfortable, making them ideal for warm weather.

The loose fit is gentle on your postpartum body and provides easy access for breastfeeding. Plus, they’re stylish and make you feel good as you start this new chapter.

Have a look at some below:

#5. Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses are perfect going-home outfits for new moms. They are comfortable, stylish, and easy to wear. The loose fit provides room for postpartum healing, while the soft fabric feels gentle on your skin.

Maxi dresses are also convenient for breastfeeding and look great in any season. Just add a cardigan or jacket for cooler weather, and you’re all set!

#6. Oversized Tops and Bottoms

Oversized tops and bottoms make great going-home outfits for new moms because they offer comfort and flexibility. The loose fit helps accommodate any postpartum swelling and provides easy movement, while also being gentle on any sensitive areas.

Plus, they’re stylish and can be paired easily with other pieces, making them a practical and chic choice for the special day.

Make sure you’re at ease and confident in whatever you decide to wear!

You’ve just accomplished an amazing feat and you deserve to feel great about yourself. Congratulations, mama!

Fall/Winter Coming Home From Hospital Outfit

If you’re looking for something a little more summery, a sundress is always a good option.

Throw on a cardigan or light jacket and you’re good to go!

Again, a cardigan or light jacket is perfect for layering.

A pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt is always a good choice. You can also opt for a pair of leggings and a tunic top.

Mama Lounge Set
For moms coming home from hospital in Winter, this Mama loungewear set is another great option.

And finally, don’t forget about a cozy sweater. A cardigan or pullover-style sweater is perfect for keeping you warm.

Just add a pair of boots and you’re all set!

Going Home Outfit For Mom After C-Section (+ Summer and Winter Choices)

High-waisted sweat pants are a must-have for C-Section new moms

Ensure that your postpartum attire is as cozy as possible if you had a c-section.

You will be sore and tender, especially around your abdomen, so you don’t wear anything that presses on that area of your body.

Pajamas or sweatpants are a great option for a post-C-Section outfit since they are loose-fitting around your waist.

The best type of pajamas for post-C-Section are ones with a high waist so they don’t press on your abdomen.

You may also consider getting a pair of postpartum shorts to wear under your pajamas or sweatpants for extra support.

For Summer and Winter

In the summer, a loose sundress can be a great post-C-Section outfit because it doesn’t touch your abdomen.

In the winter, a cozy sweater or hoodie and comfy loose pants are great post C-Section clothes for mom.

The Lululemon Align is one of the best leggings for C-Section moms. They are high waist, soft and stretchy.

Another option is compression leggings

These leggings are great post-C-Section because they provide support and compression to your abdomen. They also have a high waist so they don’t press on your incision area.

A great brand to look into after a C-Section is Lululemon.

They have a pair of leggings called Lululemon Align that don’t squeeze your body too tight which makes them perfect for after a c-section.

Plus, they are really supportive and hold well. I would strongly recommend these if they are within your budget.

These underbelly postpartum panties are perfect for a c-sec mom since they won’t irritate c-section scars

The best ideas for undies after a c-section are high-waisted panties that don’t press on your incision area.

Again, dark colors are best so any postpartum bleeding doesn’t show through.

When Can You Wear Normal Clothes After C-Section?

Moms may be wondering when they can wear normal clothes again after a c-section. It’s important to listen to your body and not try to push yourself too soon.

Every mom and every c-section is different, so there is no set time frame for when you can start wearing normal clothes again.

It’s important to wait until your incision has healed and you are feeling up to getting dressed in normal clothes.
